Junior USV Software Engineer

Kaohsiung, Taiwan · Full time

Apply for this role

We're building TF-100, an autonomous surface vessel designed to change how fleets work at sea. We're hiring a Junior USV Software Engineer to join the team that writes its software. You'll learn the full stack, from embedded firmware to autonomy and navigation, work next to experienced engineers, and see your code run on real vessels in real sea conditions.

What you'll do

  • Write, test and maintain software across the vessel's stack, with guidance from senior engineers
  • Help integrate control, guidance and sensor systems on TF-100
  • Debug and test software on real hardware, in the harbour and at sea
  • Document your work and learn from code reviews in a fast-paced team

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Solid programming skills in C++ and/or Python
  • Curiosity about robotics and autonomous systems, and eagerness to learn quickly
  • Comfort testing on real hardware, not just in simulation
  • English proficiency (intermediate listening, speaking, reading, writing)

Bonus points

  • Projects or internships with ROS or ROS 2
  • Experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers
  • Coursework or projects in control (PID), path planning or navigation
  • Experience with sensors such as IMU, GPS, LiDAR or cameras
