The Role

Join our international team of exceptional individuals as a Marine Operations Manager, reporting directly to the CEO. In this critical role, you will take full ownership of managing all aspects of marine operations, ensuring the efficient and safe deployment, operation, and maintenance of our USVs. We are seeking a highly enthusiastic Marine Operations Manager who is committed to giving their best every day and eager to learn new skills. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, requiring minimal guidance, self-motivated, diligent, and a strong team player.


Additionally, the candidate should possess:

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of marine professionals.

  • Operational Expertise: Extensive knowledge of marine operations, particularly related to USVs and autonomous marine technologies.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with the technical aspects of USVs, including navigation systems, propulsion, and remote monitoring systems.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of maritime laws, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address operational challenges promptly and effectively.

  • Project Management: Experience in planning, executing, and managing marine projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and operational environments.

  • Safety Focus: A strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all operations.


Ideally, candidates will have at least a bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Operations, or a related field with 5-7 years of professional experience in marine operations. However, if you lack this experience but believe you have the qualities we're looking for, we encourage you to apply and prove your suitability for the role!

Requirements

The following requirements are a must and no applicants will be selected if these requirements are not met:

  • Fluent communication skills in English

  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to Kaohsiung

  • This position requires occasional travel locally in Taiwan and internationally
