Announcement
First Vessel Under Construction
2026-05-10

Hyarks has reached an important milestone with the construction of our first autonomous surface vessel now well underway at our shipyard in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
This vessel marks a major step in Hyarks' development journey. From early design and engineering to aluminium fabrication and structural assembly, the build reflects years of iteration, testing, and hands on craftsmanship. Every section of the vessel is being prepared with the same goal in mind: to create a reliable unmanned surface vessel ready for real ocean operations.
Hull and Superstructure
The aluminium hull is being fabricated and assembled in house, with the superstructure fitted onto the main hull structure. Each weld, joint, and panel is inspected carefully to ensure the vessel meets the structural requirements needed for offshore and nearshore missions.
The construction process brings together naval architecture, marine engineering, and practical shipyard experience. This stage forms the physical foundation for the systems that will later support propulsion, navigation, sensing, autonomy, and remote operation.

Deck Panels and Structural Frames
The vessel's deck panels and structural frames are being fabricated to precise specifications before final integration into the main assembly. These components form the backbone of the platform and provide the structure needed to support onboard equipment, payloads, and mission systems.
Each part of the build has been designed with future integration in mind. As the vessel moves closer to completion, the focus will shift from structure to systems, including propulsion, power, navigation, communications, autonomy software, and sensor payloads.

What Comes Next
With construction progressing, the vessel will soon enter the systems integration phase. Propulsion, navigation, autonomy software, and onboard sensors will be installed and tested before the vessel begins operational validation.
Testing is scheduled for June, ahead of Hyarks' first contract deployment in August. This testing phase will help validate the vessel's performance, reliability, and readiness for real customer operations.
Hyarks will also host a demonstration event in July to showcase the vessel and its capabilities before deployment. For partners, customers, investors, and industry contacts interested in attending, please reach out to be invited.
