TF-100 Runs Survey Lines on Its Own
On 16 October 2026, TF-100 ran two surveys in Kaohsiung by itself, first two lines and then four, turning between lines on its own.

A survey is a set of straight, parallel lines that a vessel has to run accurately, so that the data it collects covers the area evenly. On 16 October 2026, TF-100 ran two surveys at Xingda Port in Kaohsiung: one with two lines, then one with four.
The survey lines were set in the Hyarks platform. TF-100 planned the turns between them itself, lined up on a straight run-in before each line, and ran the lines on its own.
Track against plan
This chart is drawn from the vessel's own log of the first survey. The lime lines are the planned survey lines and the white line is where TF-100 went. The track follows the planned lines, through the turn at the far end and back.

Across the two surveys, TF-100 ran six lines, each about 85 to 140 metres long. These were trials, and what we learned from them goes into how TF-100 holds a line.
